This is my sixth season as a vendor at the Meaford Farmer’s Market and I want to share what that experience has been like. My garden started out as just a few perennials and herbs that I was growing for my own use and pleasure.
But as they grew, and multiplied, I thought what a great idea it would be to share all these wonderful plants. And so The Garden was born, and I started attending the market.
I grow and sell perennial herb plants, fresh cut herbs and dried herbs, cut flower bouquets, garlic and other related products. My favorite part is growing annual and perennial flowers for the cut bouquets. There are different flowers blooming every week, so I never know what I will have to work with until Friday morning.
The market has been a great venue for meeting people and sharing lots of gardening stories and ideas. Please come visit me at the Meaford Farmer’s Market. It runs until Thanksgiving weekend, and the vendors still have lots of produce available for you, including fruits, veggies, preserves, honey, arts and crafts, as well as my flowers and herbs. Hope to see you there.
