The Meaford Public Library is touting an upcoming celebration of Ontario Public Library Week as a “week-long party”.
From Tuesday, October 20 to Saturday, October 24, the library will be bursting with free activities for all to enjoy.
“Have a free cup of coffee and a treat, hear local celebrities discuss their favourite books, meet the Friends of the Meaford Library and the Library Board Members, and get up to date on the latest technology including a 3D printer demo,” said the library.
Saturday’s event includes ‘Bring Your Parent to the Library’, with face painting and balloon creations in the Junior Library.
The week wraps up with the sold-out Georgian Bay Reads battle of the books debate in Creemore.
Ontario Public Library Week is held annually in October. It raises awareness of the valuable role public libraries play in the community.
“Loaning books and movies, providing internet access and Story Time are just a few of the free services and resources provided by the Meaford Public Library. Remember, everyone is welcome at the library,” said the library.
