Obituary: Brennan, Norma

Obituary

Retired E.A. with East York School Board, Toronto

Born in Toronto on May 19, 1942, a daughter of the late William James and Doris (nee Hill) Kirby of England, Norma passed away in Meaford on September 5, 2020, at the age of 78.

She and her beloved husband of some 55-plus years, Patrick Brennan, retired to Meaford from Toronto and enjoyed those retirement years together.

Norma will be remembered as a devoted and loving Mom of Bryan and his wife Tammy, and David and his wife Lisa, and cherished grandmother of their son Matthew, all of Mississauga.

A brother Roy predeceased Norma and she is remembered by his wife Audrey of Ajax, and sisters Joan (nee Kirby) and Audrey Vernon also predeceased her, and she is survived by Audrey’s husband Larry of Baldwin. Norma was a dear-sister-in-law to Mary and Joe Martin of Richmond Hill. She will be recalled fondly by her several nieces and nephews and their families.

Cremation has taken place and a private family disposition of Norma’s ashes will take place at a later date.

If so desired and as your expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated, and on-line condolences may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home in Meaford (www.fergusonfuneralhomes.ca.) to whom arrangements have been entrusted.
