The Meaford Knights hockey club will be hosting a special ‘Break the Ice’ night for their November 28 game against the West Nipissing Lynx.
“During the evening we will be acknowledging mental health, and proceeds from the event will support mental health initiatives at our local Meaford Hospital and the Regional Hospital in Owen Sound,” said the team.
The team says that the evening will offer up some excellent Junior A level hockey, a 50/50 draw, and a Jersey and memorabilia auction.
First responders and members of the military will be offered free admission (with ID).
The game starts at 7:30 pm on Thursday, November 28.
