Dear Editor,
We had an amazing Canada Day in the Municipality of Meaford this year! There were plenty of activities for everyone!
Beautiful Joe Heritage Society board members would like to extend a huge ‘Thank You’ to our sponsors: Remax Meaford (Marg Spragge and Christine Moore) and Canadian Pet Connection.
We had super volunteers: Kim and Kevin Ware, Michael Biggins, and Gary Chick.
The Kinsmen were so kind to provide the chairs for the Ultimutts performances. We are so grateful to all of you!
Big thanks to an amazing photographer, Brent Hodgson.
In case you missed it our vendors were: Bekah Grooms, Jeremy Grant Engraving, Canadian Pet Connection, The Pet Expert, and special guest The Big Black Dog! (Maybe we should have a contest to name the big guy!) There was also Jodie Hawker of Happy Paws Canine Solutions, Dorte Hawker Jewelery, Salts N Scents, Remax, Sarah Brown’s TopDog Treats and last but not least Kids for Turtles!
It was an amazing day! Amazing weather as well!
Melissa at the Ultimutts provided three exciting performances. (Her trailer bottomed out coming in and going out!) The parking lot was excellent for the venue!
The people are the best and the weather came in second. What a great day!
The bonus for us was that everyone cleaned up after themselves and there was no garbage to collect! Amazing! Thank you so much! Check out our Facebook page for a visual of all the fun we had!
Don’t forget to come out to the Annual Pooch Pool Party on August 31, 11-1 (no dog required!)
Don’t forget Sunny Sunday Tours in the Park from 12-2 in July and August.
Now that the scene has been set, watch for our next big fundraising project of an Accessible Pedestrian foot bridge across the Bighead River!
