Letter to the Editor
Editor,
I have closely followed with increasing disbelief the testimony provided by former Principal Secretary, Gerald Butts, the Prime Minister, and the highly partisan Clerk of the Privy Council Michael Wernick before the Justice Committee.
They clearly don’t understand the notion that ‘no means no’. Apparently repeated requests of the former Attorney-General, Jody Wilson-Raybould, to change her position on the prosecution of SNC-Lavalin was intended to change this notion, that ‘no means maybe’, and after constant pressure on her, that ‘no eventually means yes’.
In spite of their self-proclaimed feminist mantra it seems evident to me that Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party have gone through a metamorphosis over the SNC-Lavalin controversy from Sunny Ways to Sleazy Days.
