A group of local cadets travelled to Brookvale, Prince Edward Island, last week to participate in the National Cadet Biathlon.
One hundred and thirty biathletes between the ages of 12 and 18 participated in the event, advancing to the national championship after winning local and provincial competitions. Local cadets Braden Lohnes, Abby Lohnes, Zachary Nyenhuis, Makayla French, and Carolyn Brown were accompanied by coach Cory Lohnes and cadet coach Alanna Majzik.
All but Abby Lohnes (2408 CFB Borden Army Cadets) are members of 167 Air Marshal Bishop Squadron in Owen Sound.
