Letter to the Editor
Dear Editor,
I just wanted to send this beautiful community of Meaford a BIG Thank you! Since moving here three years ago, we have met some wonderful people. Thank you for your smiles and gentle spirits to make our day!
Thank you to the people at the Chamber of Commerce during our first year here helped us merge in so nicely and made us feel welcome. To the teachers who have help to encourage and teach our children, thank you so very much for all you do.
My family and I also want to thank the random people of Meaford who blew out our large lane-way and also to the men whoever they were, who cleared the mouth of our drive-way out for us when we were snowed in.
Also, over the past week or so, our children that go to Georgian Bay Secondary school, have been blessed with a complete turkey diner from a lovely gentleman whose dying wish came true because of the diligent and dedicated teachers and staff involved. The the children came home before the holidays and said they had a full delicious breakfast at the high school from a member or members of the community and kept them full and happy all day!
May God continue to bless our beautiful Meaford and a very Happy New Year to you all from our family on 3rd Line.
Christine Backmund, Meaford
