After an ongoing theft investigation at a Meaford gas station, Grey County OPP arrested a man on Wednesday, December 10, and charged him with theft over $5,000.
The owner of Alex’s Gas Bar located on Sykes Street South in the Municipality of Meaford contacted police after he had noticed shortages in cash from the time the man was hired, in January 2014, and those shortages continued until October. Police say the accumulated theft was in excess of $7500.
A 20 year old Meaford man has been charged with theft over $5000.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, January 8, 2015.
