On Friday, November 21, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a theft of binoculars from an unlocked vehicle on Ford Street in the Municipality of Meaford.  The Bushnell binoculars, valued at $100, were taken sometime overnight by unknown person(s).  Three other vehicles in the parking lot, which had been locked, were not tampered with.

Grey County OPP urge residence to lock their vehicles at all times.  Many residents will have started their holiday shopping and many will leave valuable items in plain view inside their unlocked vehicle, only for someone to relieve them of their purchases.

Thefts from vehicles are a crime of opportunity.  Don’t be a victim. Crime prevention starts with you. Lock it, Or Lose it!
