Time to Fall Back

Staff

clocks Ben Kersey

Daylight savings time ends on November 2, 2014, and this is a great time to make sure that your home has working smoke alarms.  When you adjust your clocks this weekend, make sure that all of your smoke alarms and Carbon Monoxide alarms are working.

Replace the batteries in your smoke alarms and Carbon Monoxide alarms. If your smoke alarms or Carbon Monoxide alarms are not battery operated, test them to make sure they will work.

You now must replace any smoke or Carbon Monoxide alarms that are past their expiration date. To find out the date when you should replace your smoke alarm or Carbon Monoxide alarm look on the outside of the device, under the cover or on the rear of the device.

Smoke alarms are required on every level and outside each sleeping area, it is the law.  Working smoke alarms save lives.
