The Meaford Chamber of Commerce has announced the contestants for the 6th annual Dragons’ Den Meaford competition that will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, 7:30 PM, at Meaford Hall.
“Dragons’ Den has been a great success for Meaford’s local entrepreneurs and the organizing committee continues to improve the event every year. The quality of the applications that we received this year was very impressive and we thank all of the businesses who applied to be a contestant for the significant effort that they put into their submissions,” said organizers in a press release announcing this year’s contestants.
The selection committee, comprised of members of Meaford’s local business community, has now chosen five finalists for the show. Each of them will be on stage, October 29, to pitch their business idea to our five Dragons. Up for grabs is a share in almost $25,000 in cash and prizes
Our five contestants for 2014 are:
- Daniel Caldwell – Sydenham Hill Farm Leather
- Lynne Lundberg – Transitions
- Bill Monahan – HomeButtons Special Care
- Spencer Wareham – Kilannan Brewing Company Ltd.
- Eric Wilson – Rapid-Fab.com
Once again this year the “Audience Choice” award will be awarded to the contestant who receives the most votes from the audience. Five dollars from every ticket sold will be put into a prize fund to be awarded at the end of the evening. Here’s your chance to become even more involved in this very popular event and help our local entrepreneurs to succeed.
