Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are looking for members of the community to serve as volunteers with the OPP Auxiliary Program.
OPP Auxiliary members assist police with a variety of duties such as crime prevention initiatives, attending community and OPP special events, as well as general patrol duties.
Basic conditions for appointment are as follows:

Minimum 18 years of age.

Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Ontario Grade 12 or equivalent.

Class ‘G’ Driver’s Licence with good record.

No criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted.

Certified in First Aid and CPR.
If interested in becoming a volunteer member of the OPP Auxiliary Program, an information session will be held at the Bruce Peninsula OPP Detachment located at 50 Berford St., Wiarton, on Monday, November 28, at 7 p.m.
