Meaford Man Arrested For Road Rage Incident

opp logo270On October 15, at approximately 5:25 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated an incident of road rage that occurred on Sykes Street North near Albery Crescent in the Municipality of Meaford, resulting in the arrest of a Meaford man.

Investigation revealed that a 2012 Chevrolet Cruz vehicle, driven by a 24 year-old Brockton man, was forced to stop by a driver operating a 2014 Dodge Caravan vehicle.

The driver of the Dodge exited his vehicle and smashed the driver’s window of the Chevrolet, assaulting the driver before leaving the scene. There were no injuries reported.

Police located and arrested the suspect outside his residence a short time afterwards.

Dayce Hickle, 37 years old, of the Municipality of Meaford, was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, mischief under $5,000 and assault.

He is scheduled to appear in court on November 17.
