Editor,
Regarding your rant about Climate Change the September 15 issue (Rants, Raves & Rumours, September 15 print edition), people living on ocean coastal regions are already doomed.
There is no solution that can save their property.
A graphic available online (www.xkcd.com/1732/) should be able to be understood by all.
It illustrates so well that climate, unlike weather, does not change quickly due to geophysical forces that have been experienced over the last 20 centuries.
But man, through sheer force of population growth and technology growth is a new more powerful force than any the earth has experienced before.
Welcome to the Holocene and the beginning of the Anthropocene era.
Sadly, this data will not trump Trump’s opinion nor those like him who are climate change deniers.
