Dive Into Some Great Summer Reads!

Summer reading isn’t just for kids! Adults can enjoy the pleasure of books this season as well – especially if you register for the Forest of Reading Program at the Meaford Public Library.

You can enjoy an awesome selection of recommended titles and also enter for a chance to win great prizes.

The Ontario Library Association’s Forest of Reading Program offers great reading suggestions and contests for readers of all ages. The Evergreen Award encourages adults to explore Canadian literature in both fiction and non-fiction. To be a part of this program, register at the Meaford Public Library and read one, a few, or all of the nominated titles. After you finish each book, write a quick book review to be entered into the draw for a chance to win great prizes at the end of the summer. Each book review gives you one ballot, so the more you read, the more chances you have to win. The draw will take place on Wednesday, August 31.

In addition, participants can vote during Ontario Public Library Week in October for their favourite of the nominated books to win the 2016 Evergreen Award. The winning book is announced in February 2017.
