Dear Editor,
Larry Miller seems to have trouble wrapping his lips around the “g” word. How else to explain the curious omission of any reference to the LGBT identity of those “targeted specifically” by the homophobic killer, in Miller’s lengthy letter of June 20?
But he does get his Islamophobia front and centre, recycling Republican attacks on Barack Obama in his rush to insist that “the attack was an act of radical Islam.”
None of this is surprising if you recall Miller’s opposition to same-sex marriage, or his demand that veiled women “stay the hell where you came from”. That outburst was enough to earn a rebuke from his own party.
Since then, the Conservatives seem to want to put some of the bigoted nastiness of their last campaign behind them. Clearly Larry didn’t get the memo.
