HMQ90 logo540Christ Church Anglican and St. James Fairmount are inviting the public to “a once in a lifetime experience to mark the 90th birthday of our Head of State, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada.

The tea party will take place on Saturday, April 16 at 1:00 pm, at Christ Church Anglican, located at 34 Boucher Street, Meaford.

Refreshments will be served, including a special cake and sweets.

This will be an opportunity for our community to extend their best wishes to our Queen on the occasion of her 90th birthday,” said organizers. “The highlight will be when we ask everyone to join in for a videotape of us all singing a verse of “Happy Birthday”, sung a cappella and in unison. The voices will be then combined into a video of one mighty chorus of greetings, with all the participants seen and listed on the sleeve of the CD that will be made.”

Organizers said that everyone is welcome to this special event.

It comes from the heart, and will please this magnificent woman who epitomizes inclusion, defies stereotypes and focuses on community,” said the organizers.
