Meaford Man Charged With Refusing to Provide Breath Samples

opp logo270On February 22, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possible impaired driver operating a Dodge Caravan in Leith, in the Municipality of Meaford.

Police stopped the vehicle on Grey Rd. 15 in Leith and found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. Upon registering a “Fail” on a roadside breath test, the driver was arrested for impaired driving and was transported to the Meaford OPP Detachment for further breath tests.

The driver refused to provide breath samples and, as a result, was charged with the criminal offence of fail or refuse to provide breath sample.

The 52 year old man, who is a resident of the Municipality of Meaford, is scheduled to appear in Court in Owen Sound on March 10.
