On Saturday, August 23, Meaford’s Bighead Hop farm invited craft beer lovers to the second annual Bighead Shindig. The event was a great success, with sunshine, music, and over 400 attendees.
Located in the hop yards at the farm just outside Walters Falls, it was a celebration of all things local and all things craft beer. With the hop plants in full bloom the Shindig is one last blast for hop farmer Nicholas Schaut before the real work of harvesting kicks in.
Ten breweries were pouring at this year’s event, which also featured local cideries and food vendors, and a large helping of good old-fashioned fun.
