The Meaford Hall & Culture Foundation was established in 2006. It is a not-for-profit volunteer organization. The Foundation’s mandate is to enable the development of arts and culture in Meaford by:
-
Supporting arts and culture at Meaford Hall and in the Municipality
-
Investing in the infrastructure of Meaford Hall
-
Sponsoring community events and programs in arts and culture
-
Supporting arts & culture education through youth activities
“The Foundation has invested over $400,000 into Meaford Hall Arts & Cultural Centre. Recent investments in the Hall include an upgraded sound system in the Opera House, sound baffling in the upper galleries using drapes in the upper gallery windows, and a bar in the south gallery,” said the Foundation.
The Foundation also invests in other community events and projects, by sponsoring, or providing funds for activities such as Grey Bruce Chapter of Autism Ontario to launch a visual art expressionism program, Pandora Puppet Show & Workshop, Kids in The Meaford Hall Christmas Production, and Summer Camp Bursaries at Meaford Hall.
