The Meaford & St. Vincent Agricultural Society has just completed an integral fundraising event. The Beef Dinner & Silent Auction was held on Saturday June 14 at the Community Centre in Meaford.
“It was a great success. Our team of volunteers was the key to this success as well as the many businesses that donate to the silent auction. A delicious homemade beef dinner & the trimmings was served along with the best selection of homemade pies you have laid your eyes upon. We would like to say many thanks & are very grateful for the community support to ensure our Meaford Fall Fair remains an annual event,” said organizers.
Another fundraising event to consider this summer is the Pork Chop BBQ (only 200 tickets available) & Jr. Ambassador Competition being held on Wednesday August 27. Dinner 5-6:30 followed by the Jr. Ambassador Competition at 7 p.m.
This is the official opening of the Meaford Fall Fair that is being held on Saturday August 30. So far the lineup for the fair includes Glendale Farms with pony rides, candy stand, petting zoo & bouncers, Bogle the Clown (11-3) with balloon tying, stilt walking, juggling & magic, Carl Jolleys famous antique riding toys, Childrens’ activity tent, amateur dog show, all day music & puppet shows, & new this year Pit Stop Racing & frog jumping contest, as well as all the animals that make up the Fall Fair with friendly competition and exhibit hall.
