The Owen Sound North Grey Union Public library has just this hour issued a press release announcing that they are increasing their non-resident family membership fee from $160 per year to $500 per year.
Yes, you read that correctly.
In the press release they say that the non-resident fee has been $160 since 1994, and costs have increased since then.
Meaford council was recently told by staff that savings could be found by opting out of a contract with the OSNGUPL and instead pay the non-resident fees for families in Sydenham who use the Owen Sound Facility.
