Something New to do at Blue

Staff

Something New to do at BlueBlue Mountain Resort’s list of cold weather activities has increased with the addition of a Hike N’ Tube Park, now open. Located adjacent to South Base Lodge at the base of the L-Hill ski trail, the Hike N’ Tube Park features four tubing tracks spread out over two courses and is suitable for guests aged three and older.

“Blue Mountain prides itself on having a winter activity that caters to every age and level of ability,” said Paul Pinchbeck, Vice President Marketing, Blue Mountain Resort.  “Our Hike N’ Tube Park is a great cold-weather alternative for those guests that may not ski or snowboard but still wish to enjoy a downhill experience.”

Resort veterans may recall Blue Mountain’s first tube park which was retired following the 2006/07 Winter Season.  Reintroducing tubing to Blue Mountain’s line up comes as a response to requests for additional family friendly experiences outside the realm of alpine sports.  The Hike N’ Tube Park joins Blue’s list of off-hill activities including The Mill Pond Skating Rink, Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster, Columbia Guided Snowshoe Hikes and Plunge! Aquatic Centre.

Those that wish to experience Blue Mountain’s latest offering can visit the tube hut located at the base of L-Hill to pick up their tube rental at a cost of $10 for 60 minutes of tubing time.  Discounted rates will also be available for lodging guests and group visitors.
