Obituary: Harding, Robert Frank 'Bob'

harding obitBorn in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, a son of the late Robert Allan and Barbara Martha (née Nickerson) Harding, Bob passed away unexpectedly at his home in Meaford on Sunday March 22, 2015 at the age of 61.

Bob is remembered as the devoted husband and companion of 42 years of Wilda (née Brown) Harding who recently and tragically predeceased him in December 2014.

He is recalled as a loving father, Dad and ‘Grampy’ by his son Chris Harding and his wife Heather of Meaford and their daughters Shalyn, Farrah and Summer, and by his daughter Jennifer and her husband Rick Johnston also of Meaford and their children Heather and Abby.

Obituary: Nanderam, Sheila

nanderam obitOn Thursday October 16 2014, at the age of 68 and in the presence of her family, our mom (Denvy, Rawle, Dave) and dad’s (Frank) wife passed away in Barrie succumbing to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis of the lungs.

Sheila was born and married in Trinidad. She and Frank raised their family, lived and worked in Meaford between 1973 and 1994. She is still connected to the golden town through her many dear friends as well as family (sister Molly; niece Debra).

Obituary: Findlay, Betty-Jean


Her love exceeded all. Her smile was all you needed. She was larger than life and lived her life to the fullest. After a long and complex fight with her many diagnoses, she passed away on Friday, October 17, 2014, leaving grieving family and friends.

B-J was the beloved wife of her husband David Nathan, mother of loving children (and their partners) Pirie (and Benn), Michelle (and Sean), and Zachary (and Julie), and stepchildren Julia (and Rick) and Zoe (and Jonno), loving grandmother to Maya, Cleo, Lochlan, Ari, Aiden, Joel, Tammy and Abigail.

Obituary: Heron, Robert Gordon

heron1225Robert Gordon Heron had his last automotive tour, his "ultimate final ski run" on September 12, 2014. Bob grew up in Toronto and on his much-loved Georgian Bay where he was a sailor and a windsurfing demon. Water and mountains were what spoke to Bob. He always had to wake up to a water-view, either on the Bay or on the Salish Sea. Anything else warranted ".....hmmmph, no view…"

After graduating from Ryerson in marketing and advertising, one of Bob's careers took him to Amerock in Meaford, where he enjoyed all of his associates.
