Obituary: Cook, Lawson Russell

Cook obit oct 2019Born in Meaford on January 3, 1942, a son of the late Emerson and Pearl (nee White) Cook, Lawson passed away in Owen Sound on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at the age of 77.

Upon leaving high school Lawson went to work for Stuart McKibbon, a local contractor. While working there Lawson acquired many lifelong skills including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and running heavy equipment. He carried these skills throughout his life as he tackled many projects. Lawson will be remembered as a well-known technician with Bell Canada who continued to assist many in the area with his expertise following his retirement.

RosemaryHohlobit 270Born in Stratford, Ontario, on April 1, 1942, a daughter of the late Karl and Florence (nee Moffet) Golz, Rosemary passed away after a long and heroic battle with cancer, at Chapman House Hospice in Owen Sound on Sunday, September 8, 2019, at the age of 77.

Rosemary grew up in Stratford where she spent most of her life. She made some wonderful memories on the Bruce Peninsula and spent her final years in Meaford, Ontario. Her loving heart has touched many people, but none so much as her family who survives her.

Obituary: Kline, Donald Frederick

Klein obit 2019270Born in Schomberg on November 18, 1931, a son of the late Charles and Dorothea (nee Weiler) Kline, passed away in Meaford on Monday, September 2, 2019 at the age of 87.

Don was predeceased by his wife Ruth (nee Moffatt) in 2005 and is remembered as the much loved best friend and partner of Elaine Williamson (nee Lagace) of Meaford.

Obituary: Alliston, Mary Annetta ‘Nettie’

Nettie2019Mary 'Nettie' Alliston (nee Harris), formerly of Meaford, passed away peacefully on August 28 in her 94th year.

She was predeceased by her husband Jack, the love of her life, on May 3, 2011. She is survived by her three children: Doug, Glenn, and Sue and their families. Her love for her family was deep and unconditional and she will be deeply missed by her children and their families. Nettie had the rare ability to brighten the day of everyone she met.
