Lightning Bantams Supporting Local Food Banks

lightning food bankDespite the cold, wet weather, the Georgian Shores Bantam Rep players took to the streets in Meaford and Thornbury on Saturday morning collecting food items for the local food banks.

Zehrs in Owen Sound along with community members donated funds to help with the purchase of some necessary items for food bank recipients.

Binoculars Stolen From Unlocked Vehicle

On Friday, November 21, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a theft of binoculars from an unlocked vehicle on Ford Street in the Municipality of Meaford.  The Bushnell binoculars, valued at $100, were taken sometime overnight by unknown person(s).  Three other vehicles in the parking lot, which had been locked, were not tampered with.
