United Way of Bruce Grey – 2015 Utility Assistance Report

December 2013 gave us an indication that 2014 was going to be an exceptional year for the United Way's Utility Assistance Program.  We saw a doubling of propane prices, rising from a low of 55 cents per litre to a high of $1.29 per litre.  Propane shortages were reported across the province.

Presentation of Study on New Library Facility

Compiled over the past year, this comprehensive study examined the space required for the Meaford Public Library to carry out both current and future services.

New Mayor Spreads Christmas Cheer

mayorservesturkey225Meaford's new Mayor, Barb Clumpus, helped serve the annual Christmas Turkey Dinner hosted by the Christ Anglican Church on Sunday December 21.

Organizers said that 83 people from all walks of life enjoyed a great meal that was donated by many. Over $600 was donated at the door for an Ontario charity, "Sleeping Children Around the World" - enough to provide bed-kits and school supplies for 18 children.
