GBCS Hosts End of Year Art Show

GBCS art show 2018 270An end-of-year art show gave Grade 9 to 12 students an opportunity to showcase what they had accomplished during their art studies at Georgian Bay Community School.

The art show was the first student art show in a long time, according to teacher Signy Teague, who described the event as an excellent way to get a sense of what the students have accomplished.

Farmer The Band Live at The Barn Co-op June 23

Farmer the Band is an indie roots two-person-one-man-band from southern BC. Touring as a duo, these multi-tasking multi instrumentalists fill the stage with harmonies, guitars, bass, drums, and anything else in arm's (or foot’s) reach.

Celebrate Being Canadian at the Meaford Museum

museum totem 270It’s a great time to celebrate being Canadian by checking out the new exhibits at the Meaford Museum.

See the display of a Canadian Flag that was once raised on the Peace Tower of the parliament buildings in Ottawa. These flags are given to Canadians around the country, with a current waiting list of 16,000 members for this proud symbol of the nation.
