skating april 225On April 12 and 13, thirteen members of the Meaford Skating Club spent the nicest weekend of the early spring season doing what they love – figure skating.

This was the culmination of their season, over which they worked very hard skating eight hours per week including at 6:45 am on Wednesday mornings.

We are very proud to announce that their diligence has paid off. At the Central Ontario Section Fun Competition these thirteen girls competed against skaters from over 50 clubs and brought home a total of 18 well-earned medals,” said a club representative of the event.

Sara Wright: 2nd free-skate, 2nd solo dance, 1st couples dance, 5th team elements

Alex Falls: 2nd free-skate, 6th solo dance, 5th team elements

Emma Cornelisse: 5th free-skate, 6th solo dance, 4th couples dance, 5th team elements

Tayah Davies: 1st free-skate, 1st couples dance, 3rd team elements

Olivia Remillard: 3rd interpretive, 5th solo dance, 4th couples dance, 3rd team elements

Emma Wright: 4th interpretive, 1st couples dance, 2nd team elements

Teagan Davies: 1st interpretive, 1st team elements

Caroline Remillard: 5th interpretive, 6th solo dance, 4th team elements

Hannah Knight: 2nd interpretive, 5th solo dance, 1st couples dance, 2nd team elements

Emma Fulford: 3rd interpretive, 4th solo dance, 1st team elements

Kirstin Knight: 3rd interpretive, 2nd team elements
