Coyotes Track Club Asks Council to Purchase Track Property From School Board


Concern is growing among members of the Meaford Coyotes Track Club over the future of the high school running track they use for training, so they made a trip to the council chamber on Monday, February 13, in hopes of convincing council to purchase the property from the school board.

Councillor Suggests Lowering Fare For Municipal Transit Bus


Citing low ridership of the municipal transit bus in the first six months of a planned one-year pilot project, Meaford Councillor Shirley Keaveney suggested to council that the $4 fare could be a barrier for many potential users, and she asked council to consider lowering the fare.

David Johnston Park to Become More Accessible

David Johnston Park, located beside the Coast Guard station, will soon be more accessible for people with physical disabilities, after a $10,100 grant from the Enabling Accessibility Fund awarded to the municipality will be used to install 200 feet of a product called Mobi-Mat RecPaths.
